Climate and travel season

The climate in Las Vegas is desert-like with very little rainfall. June to September are especially hot and dry months with average temperatures of 34-40 °C (93-104 °F). In December, January and February the average temperatures fluctuate between 14 °C (57 °F) and 17 °C (63 °F). All hotels and casinos are well air-conditioned however. Also in the winter the temperature can get up to an average of 20 °C (68 °F) during the day. At night it can get very cold regardless of the season. Most of the precipitation falls in February with the least falling in June. The best time to visit is from March to May and from September to October.
