Although the state rationing of consumer goods applies to Cuban citizens only, Cuba is not exactly a shopping paradise. Nevertheless, there are world-famous souvenirs, such as Cuban rum, cigars, music and craftwork. The exquisite Cohibas are better bought in a cigar shop than in the streets. Many shops offer Cuban music on CD or records as well as musical instruments. Also Che Guevara souvenirs can be bought almost everywhere. Moreover, the local craft fairs in the cities are worth seeing.
