In the Canary Island's largest aquarium, more than 264,000 gallons (1 million liter) of water are divided... onto the the Aquarium's 22 tanks, which are inhabited by hundreds of different sea animals, among which are local Canarian species such as tiger fish, gilthead or bandtail chromis. But also more tropical species in shiny colors, ranging from clownfish, firedrakes and blowfish to hermit crabs can be found here. The different sharks in the underwater tunnel and the aquarium's main tank, filled with up to 105,000 gallons (400,000 l) of water, are the biggest attraction. The three petting pools, which cater to adults and children alike, allow visitors to pet animals such as sea cucumbers and starfish and thereby make it possible to become more familiar with such exotic animals. A special note for environmentally conscious folks: The last tank displays some of the garbage which was collected on the coasts of Lanzarote. A great tip: Diving and snorkeling classes! more

The private tropical park in the northern park of the island covers a space totaling more than 484,400... ft² and provides a brilliant overview of the island's flora and all the tropical plants which thrive in this climate. The tropical park is also home to over 1,300 birds and other exotic animals, some of which are bred here. A parrot show provides further entertainment. The restaurant and a well-stocked souvenir shop are both ideal places to relax amidst all the action. more

Several organized dives with the Sub Fun 3 are offered at the harbor of Puerto Calero on a daily basis.... The maximum diving depth is around 82 ft (25 m). Alongside the diverse underwater world, an old shipwreck can also be marveled at. more

Davech offers a diverse variety of outdoor and leisure activities such as paintball (under strict supervision,... with a total of six playing levels and only restricted to individuals over 14 years of age). Moreover, children can shoot with bow and arrows, go treasure hunting, ride on mini motorcycles or mini quads or play boule and go hang gliding. more

Charco means puddle and refers to the little inner harbor belonging to the fishermen, all of whom have... their small cottages on the northern edge. Every Wednesday and Thursday between 9 am and 2 pm, a colorful flea market is held here. In one of the many delicious and peacefully quiet restaurants along the southern boundary, the happenings can be observed while indulging in a drink or a tasty meal. The patronal festival in honor of Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen, takes place annually... on July 16th. Her deeds and existence are celebrated in a colorful procession all around the harbor, on land as well as on water. Celebrations are also held in front of the island La Graciosa. more

Mountain bikes are the best means of transportation to explore this beautiful island. The quality of... bikes on La Graciosa is usually more than reliable, especially since no bike rental place is interested in the hassle of picking up customers stranded in the middle of nowhere. more

Convivial and lively carnival parades, which are especially spectacular in Arrecife and Teguise as well... as at the Playa Blanca. In Arrecife, a cardboard sardine in a coffin is buried in a long funeral procession on Ash Wednesday. more
