Dole company logos mark fruit all across the globe. The company’s pineapple plantation, presumably... the largest in the world, is right here in Oahu. Dole also runs a visitor’s center in which one can find out everything about this delicious fruit’s history and the art of growing it. A small bright-red train (tickets 5$) takes visitors through the plantation and provides information on pineapples. The ride is not only fun for children. In the large main building of the visitor’s center, not only ice cream and pastries made of pineapple ingredients – typical for the USA - are offered. One can also purchase many souvenirs, some of which are pineapple-related, some not.more
