The Fedac shop, a government foundation for the advancement of Canarian craftsmen, offers a large array... of baskets, ceramic goods and needlework. "Cuchillos canarios" are sold here as well, the signature knife of the banana pickers with an artistically decorated handle and wide sheath. more

For 25 years now market vendors have been selling pretty much everything locals or tourists may need.... The colorful weekly market is an immense magnet for visitors. Besides that, scoping out the boutiques near the harbor is well worth it, too. more

A paradise for all sweets lovers – the store offers a tempting array of almond pastries, pralines,... candy and other sweets. A special delicacy is Pan de Batates (bread with sweet potatoes). more

Queso de flor (flower cheese) is the name of the famous and coveted cheese from Guía that is fermented... in the juice of wild artichokes, which gives it a particularly fresh flavor. Flower cheese is available in all better grocery stores on the island, but nowhere is it as fresh as here and, especially, in Casa Arturo. more

High-quality pearls are created in the company’s own factory in Palmitos Valley and crafted into jewelry.... Individual pieces of jewelry can also be custom-made. The arts and crafts store near Parque Santa Catalina offers a wide selection of souvenirs, among them... necklaces and ceramic ware, folklore CDs, T-shirts and dolls in traditional costumes. The “doramas” rum from Arucas, which is enriched with honey, and the Canarian mojo sauces, which can be bought in small jars, are delicious. more
