Tyrolean Folk Art Museum (Tiroler Volkskunstmuseum)
When the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce decided in 1888 to collect together examples of handicraft products, its main purpose was to give a fresh impetus to Tyrolean handicrafts. The aim was to create a "Museum of Tyrolean Industry". Many types of handicrafts were collected, also including masks, regional costumes and devotional items.
